Welcome to Taormina Boat Tours. By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience on the Ionian Sea.
1. Booking and Payment
- Reserve Now, Pay Later: To make booking as easy as possible, we offer a “Reserve Now, Pay Later” option. You can secure your date and time without an upfront deposit.
- Payment Methods: Full payment is required before or on the day of the tour. We accept Cash, major Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal.
- Confirmation: Your booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or message from Taormina Boat Tours containing your itinerary and meeting point details.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We want to keep your travel plans flexible. Our cancellation policies are as follows:
- Cancellations by the Guest: * Free Cancellation: You may cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure time.
- Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure, or failure to arrive at the meeting point on time (No-Show), will result in a charge equal to 100% of the tour price.
- Cancellations by Taormina Boat Tours (Weather & Safety): * Your safety is our absolute priority. The Captain reserves the right to cancel any tour at any time due to unsafe weather or sea conditions.
- If we cancel your tour due to weather, you will be given the option to reschedule for another available date or receive a full refund without penalty.
3. Meeting Point and Punctuality
- Meeting Point: All tours depart from the Port of Giardini Naxos, unless otherwise stated and agreed upon in writing.
- Arrival Time: Guests are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Late Arrivals: * Semi-Private Regular Tours: Out of respect for other guests, the boat will depart strictly on time. If you are late and miss the departure, it is considered a No-Show (no refund).
- Private Tours: The boat will wait for you, but your late arrival time will be deducted from your total tour duration.
4. Safety and Passenger Conduct
- Captain’s Authority: The Skipper (Captain) is in full command of the vessel at all times. Guests must strictly follow the Skipper’s safety instructions.
- Refusal of Service: Taormina Boat Tours reserves the right to refuse boarding to any passenger who appears heavily intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or behaves in a manner that compromises the safety and enjoyment of the crew and other guests. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
- Health & Accessibility: Guests must notify us at the time of booking of any serious medical conditions, mobility issues, or pregnancies. Unfortunately, due to the nature of small vessels, our boats are not wheelchair accessible.
5. Itinerary and Route Changes
- The standard itinerary (including stops at Isola Bella, the Blue Grotto, Baia di Mazzarò, etc.) is planned to offer the best experience. However, the exact route is entirely dependent on sea, wind, and traffic conditions on the day of the tour.
- The Captain reserves the right to alter the route, skip specific caves, or change swimming spots if entering those areas is deemed unsafe.
6. Snorkeling and Swimming
- Swim at Your Own Risk: Swimming and snorkeling are undertaken entirely at the guest’s own risk.
- We do not provide lifeguards in the water. Guests who are not confident swimmers must inform the Captain and are encouraged to request a life jacket before entering the water.
7. Personal Belongings
- Taormina Boat Tours is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal items (e.g., smartphones, cameras, jewelry, clothing) brought on board.
- Guests are advised to keep electronics protected from water and to leave valuable items at their accommodation.
8. Privacy and Media
- By participating in the tour, you consent to the possibility of being photographed or filmed by the crew for promotional purposes (social media, website). If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform the Captain before departure, and your privacy will be strictly respected.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Messina, Italy.
